Heads up: Please focus on certain areas when these types of quirks develop. 550 rpms - shake (not miss), 1100 rpms - shake, 2200 rpms - shake. Notice the rpms DOUBLE each time? Dead give away ! I have a 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 with a 5.4 V8 and a 3:73 rear gear. I have pulled a 3 axle 22' trailer weighing about 2300 lbs... On the trailer was a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero 4 door with a curb weight of 3800 lbs. I recently got this message error on my display it reads as TRANS FAULT. Truck works fine, by the way I have a 2004 f150 single cab, shifts smoothly no problems noted as of now. I am looking into my brother's 2004 f-150 automatic transmission problem, it won't shift into first or reverse without gassing it. I can get it to move but that seems to be about it. Got a 2004 F150 Super Crew that has about 80K on it. Started to develop a intermittent vibration problem. It usually happens at speeds between 45 and 50. You can add other owner with issues on the vibration. 18k miles I asked the dealer what the issue is and they said it was a #5 injector issue??? Not covered under warrenty. At 45k broght it to another dealship he said the same thing. Several months ago I recieved a letter from ford saying they are having issues with #5 injectors and to have it check...LOST THE Letter. ... Read More...

When starting out my truck seems to buck with light accelerator pressure also when going about 25 to 30mph and holding steady pressure it will buck.sometime when backing up it will buck hard.This does not happen all the time and does not trip the engine soon light.
