Ford F-Series Transmission Problems

• trans seem to not unlock in gear wants to stall

  I have a 1993 ford f350 ford 7.3 with a E40D trans It want to stall the truck in gear sometimes Sometimes backing up the truck shakes and wants to keep going. Was told to replace torque converter and I did which helped my shifting prob but wants to stall sometimes in drive or reverse. Any suggestions

  Hello after over 163,000 miles my ball joints need to be replaced I have never needed a repair manual to fix anything on my truck before but before I tear the front end apart I would like a manual can anyone recommend one. Thank you, jay

  1993 Ford F350 Crew Cab, 4x4, 4 wheel long bed, w /7.3 pre-power stroke diesel and manual trans. When driving recently, between one brake application and the next, the pedal went from solid to soft. Braking force was still good, no fluid was lost, but under steady pressure the pedal would go to the floor. Every part in the system except steel lines has been replaced.
