2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD LB DRW (6.2L 8cyl 6A)
Borrowed a friends fully loaded Lariat and drove it 5K+miles, sea level to 8500 ft, tons of power, fuel economy 14 mpg average following the speed limit +/-2 mph.
Fuel economy is really affected by speed and headwinds.
Highest 17 mpg with a tailwind and lowest 9.5 during filter regeneration.
Stunningly good ride and handling for a 4x4 Dually crew, rides better than my 2007 F250 4x4 diesel.
Complaints are few - Ford got it squared away with this truck.
400 hp motor is amazing and its quiet too.
Love the range on a tank of fuel. Heated & air conditioned seats are the best.
Ford Sync system with bluetooth rocks with my iPhone. Back up camera and navigation are great.
Power steering feel is just right, handling is great.
Stunning overall "creature features".
The cabin amenities are better than most high end luxury cars and it can carry a payload and tow a monster trailer too.
Less than pleased with the transmission, it seems to hunt through the gears in the mountains, or on winding roads.
I got fed up and started using the manual feature to keep it from hunting.
Wish the fuel economy was better.
I would prefer a little better aero styling and 1-2 better mpg vs the Bold Chrome front end.
Chrome is nice, but saving $$ every fill up is better.
A standard engine brake for towing would be a welcomed addition as would a tighter turning radius.
