2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD LB DRW (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

Bought this truck two years ago when they first hit the ground. This is my first Ford, I did not want to buy from GM or Chrysler corp. The cab has lots and lots of squeks and rattles. was told buy ford it is chassie flex. Had transmission problems before the reflash, had wast gate replaced due to hissing noise when shut down. now my wipers will not turn off. overall I will buy another one, unless Toyota build a one ton.

Suggested Improvements

better build quality, longer waranty, lower price.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD LB DRW (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

Borrowed a friends fully loaded Lariat and drove it 5K+miles, sea level to 8500 ft, tons of power, fuel economy 14 mpg average following the speed limit +/-2 mph. Fuel economy is really affected by speed and headwinds. Highest 17 mpg with a tailwind and lowest 9.5 during filter regeneration. Stunningly good ride and handling for a 4x4 Dually crew, rides better than my 2007 F250 4x4 diesel. Complaints are few - Ford got it squared away with this truck.

Favorite Features

400 hp motor is amazing and its quiet too. Love the range on a tank of fuel. Heated & air conditioned seats are the best. Ford Sync system with bluetooth rocks with my iPhone. Back up camera and navigation are great. Power steering feel is just right, handling is great. Stunning overall "creature features". The cabin amenities are better than most high end luxury cars and it can carry a payload and tow a monster trailer too.

Suggested Improvements

Less than pleased with the transmission, it seems to hunt through the gears in the mountains, or on winding roads. I got fed up and started using the manual feature to keep it from hunting. Wish the fuel economy was better. I would prefer a little better aero styling and 1-2 better mpg vs the Bold Chrome front end. Chrome is nice, but saving $$ every fill up is better. A standard engine brake for towing would be a welcomed addition as would a tighter turning radius.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab LB (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

2011 F350 SRW 6.7 Powerstroke Diesel long wb. great truck, pulls anything hooked to it with ease. rear view camera is completely useless when hooking up a goose neck trailer, obviously the guys that designed it have never worked a super duty or they would have known most super dutys pull goose neck trailers, (or for you rv guys, a 5th wheel). Interior is quite ugly in the Lariat, seat inset looks like two week old road kill hide, but the seats are comfortable, great on long trips. The ride is great, smooth, handles beautifully for such a big truck and it is big. The engine is quiet and responsive, great torque, this thing could pull a house. It's a truck!

Favorite Features

Sync system is great, hands free phone is wonderful. Good fuel economy, very quiet diesel and not smelly. Controls on steering wheel are great (got used to that with my Navigator), telescoping mirrors are great for pulling a fully loaded goose neck. Love the heated and cooled seats and the dual climate controls. Seats are very comfortable with a wide range of adjustments and the adjustable pedals are nice. The manual select is a good feature for those of us that do not want a 4-wheel drive. Absolutely wonderful ride for such a large vehicle, pulling a load or not. Great engine, Ford got it right this time.

Suggested Improvements

A second camera in the cab brake light would be good for those of us hooking up to a goose neck or 5th wheel. Loose the strange looking leather inserts in the seats. They sure detract from what is otherwise a very handsome interior. More interior color options would be nice. (only one color option with the silver exterior-black). Put a guage for the DEF tank on the instrument panel, guessing is not good. Don't like having a plastic oil pan, road debris could knock and hole in it. Kind of cheesy for such an expensive truck.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD LB (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

Fuel tank too small - when pulling travel trailer I can only get about 160 mile to a tank - always looking for fuel stops. Backup sensors should have off button on dash like the 2008. Cannot put a cloths rack in to hang cloths like most vehicles. Clothes hanger are a joke. Mud flaps not yet available.

Favorite Features

Power, Sync phone, backup camera, folding mirrors

Suggested Improvements

Get bigger fuel tank. Get top of door hooks for a clothing bar.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat 4dr Crew Cab SB (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

Great truck. #33 Ford truck for me. Much better than 08-10 trucks. Smoother ride. A little overpriced(10%). Very smooth towing. Metallic black paint is girly.

Favorite Features

Soft seats. Subwoofer. Smooth ride. Consistent power. Powerfold mirrors.

Suggested Improvements

Need 15% better mpg. Uses too much urea when towing. Stock tires absolutely awful. Need faster turning lock to lock. Need goose neck package in shortbed.

2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty King Ranch 4dr Crew Cab 4WD LB DRW (6.2L 8cyl 6A)

Review

This car is a good example of a love- hate relationship. Towing, Off- Roading, Hauling, and just about anything else this trucks does with ease. The ride quality is very bad though, being very bouncy especially compared to the new Sierra. The interior is very disappointing to, being very ugly.

Favorite Features

Towing capabilities. Off-Roading skills

Suggested Improvements

New center stack and dash design as this one has the ugliest of the bunch. Also offer locking front, center, and rear differentials.
