2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty 2dr Regular Cab XL Rwd LB (5.4L 8cyl 6M)
The XLT Sport package is nice, but lacks the refinement that I was used in the F-150 Lariat. Also, the new 5.4L gas engine should not be used in this truck regardless of what the specs say. Based on the truck's weight and various observations, the V10 gas or Power Stroke diesel is the way to go. Horsepower is O.K., but something this heavy needs more torque. Overall, this is still a very nice truck. It rides pretty well and is capable of limited heavy duty requirements. Too bad it was not ordered with the V10!
Roomy rear seat, power sunroof, reverse sensors, improved turning radius, 5- speed HD tranny, improved cosmetics, trailer tow mirrors, Class V hitch, keypad entry, good brakes.
Seats are too stiff, ride can be bouncy/unstable without load, 5.4L works too hard to move this heavy truck, center console is weak, no rear cup holders if center seat is used, limited rear seat storage, poor fuel economy.
