2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty 2dr Regular Cab XL 2WD LB (5.4L 8cyl 5M)
Unloaded, this pickup rides so stiff it's uncomfortable. Gas mileage on the V-8, A/T is 14 on the road, 10 hauling an antique car on a trailer. The power is sufficient, but that's about all. Now for the good stuff: It's surprisingly good in the mud in 4WD. This is a reliable, rattle free pickup.
Haven't had to return to the dealership for any repairs. Pickup has good finish and is decently well assembled. Dana front & Ford full- floating rear axles both outstanding.
More power & gas mileage (the only 2 areas where GM's are better). Lower the body so it's not so difficult to enter & exit.
