Great Truck. I have the 4 door gas v10.
Lots of room inside for wife and kids.
Hauled everything I've had to so far.
The trans shifts hard in low gears,
probably due to all the miles. Has great
power. Even though I'm a Chevy guy, I
recommend this truck.

I traded a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD
for the 2000 F250 Super Duty. The
Power Stroke Motor gives me 20% better
fuel economy than the Chevy. I feel
that the Power Stroke has more get up
and go then the Chevy 6.0L motor. In
my opinion Ford makes a better Super
Duty truck. It looks good and feels
more rugged all over.

I tow a 33' 5th wheel, so this truck is
one tough Ford. Handles extremely well
and looks great. Very comfortable and
ergonomic. No mechanical or other
problems experienced.

Ford has the best interior layout - the
controls are easy to see and reach
without searching. The only interior
negative is that Ford always places the
electronic 4WD switch in a way that you
cannot see what position it is in on
automatic transmission vehicles when the
shift lever is in Drive or Overdrive.
Ford trucks are harder riding but longer
lasting. If you want a cadillac with a
cargo box, buy chevy. If you want a
truck that says "Is that all you got to
haul?" buy a Ford F-250.

I have the crew cab with the V10 and the 5 speed manual transmission.
I have had numerous problems with my vehicle. The problems include turning signal switch failure 2 times. Noises throughout the cab that are still occuring (popping noises from door pillar areas). CD failure (skipping tracks)right after delivery. Noise from transfer case (unresolved). Poor A/C output (not cold enough), heater works great. Rear brakes squeak (unresolved).
