1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB
I just traded it in with 52350 miles.
It had the Powerstroke, auto. The ONLY
thing that ever went wrong was an
alternator failure right at 50,000
miles. It turns out that the
alternator bearings were out of spec
from the beginning and it was wearing
out from day 1. $160 later, I had it
running. Other than that, it was
powerful, economical to drive, and
very reliable. I liked it well enough
that I bought a 2003 just about like
The power of the 7.3 was unbeatable.
The craftsmanship of the body was
excellent. It didn't have a rattle or
squeak when I traded it. The
uphosltry and carpet looked brand new
and didn't wear at all.
The only improvement I could ever say
anything about was the noise of the
7.3 diesel. They have corrected that
already with the 6.0 diesel.
