I bought my 5.4 with 98k miles and
have close to 117K after 8 months.
Used as a daily driver and love the
firm ride and safety. No problems so
far and seems very solid. The 14mpg
is a little rough but worth the tradeoff.
Pulls an 18 ft loaded car trailer with
ease. I have the xtended cab/longbed
so can be a mother in the turning
radius dept. Went thru a Taco Bell
drive thru and had to drive over the
curb and into the flowers when
leaving.

Drove Ford Chevy & Dodge. Dodge 4x4 V8: no crew cab, rough idle, mushy cornering. Chevy: no 4 wheel disks, lower apparent build quality especially interior fit & finish. Stiff twin I beam front suspension on the 2x4 corners best. 12~13 MPG commuting, to 8 MPG ave with 11,000+ pound slide-in camper rig.
Added FORD & aftermarket anti-sway bars, air springs & 110 PSI Goodyear steel carcas tires on the single rear wheels to kill over-steer. Rates 8800 pounds max, but run a scale-verified 11,000+ pounds regularly, + 2 motorcycles on a front rack into dual Draw-Tite and Warn front-end receiver hitches.
