2004 Ford F-150 4dr SuperCrew XLT Rwd Styleside 5.5 ft. SB (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Only problem was initial dealership paint repair. No other dealer visits in 32K miles. Noticeable increase in wind & tire noise. Ride quality is degrading but probably due to use on washboard back roads and rough two tracks (though still only minor squeaks & rattles). Interior cloth stains easily & is difficult to clean. 5.4l gets 15 mpg at 70mph - ouch!.
Quiet comfortable ride. Stump-pulling torque. Confident transmission & engine control (the fussy electronic controls on a competitor created very scary situations). I tend to break vehicles, and for the most part, this truck is doing okay.
A 6/6.5 ft bed that is not as vertically deep - the taller bed is useless, obscures rear vision & is impossible to reach over; narrower side mirror housings and non-scratch mirrors; fewer chassis points to collect mud, salt, and snow; usable room under the rear seats; more attachment points in bed.
