A fun and exctng vehcl, prfrmnc
on par with a BB muscle car. The
interior is very unsophstcted,
boring and neither fnctnal nor
sprty. The tires work very well but
last about 10K mi due to the wght
and ease of unintntnal tires spin.
It is geard so low that at 80 mph it
runs at 2500 rpm, it seriously needs a
6 spd man tranny. It tows my boat very
well. It runs the advertised 140mph and
feels like it's on rails. The hndlng
is superb, thumbs up to SVT for a very
neutral well-blncd hndlng
pckg. The SC is awsome, a chip will
improve shifts and adds some power. It
is a narrowly focused package that
lacks versitility, but the prfmnc
Bigger rear rim and tires.
Six Speed transmission.
Bucket seats and console.
Humm....That would make it a 2005
ligtning huh. Thanks Ford..!!!
How about the same engine and handling
in a ZR2 4x4 Truck package. That would
really be awsome.
The transmission slips and the rear
bangs on hills. The dealer cannot
duplicate the noise and no one is
around to come for a ride with me.
This is a big disappointment for the
best selling truck. I should have
bought a Toyota.
This truck looks good but on the concrete freeways it has a real bad washboard ride the whole way. I asked the dealer if there was anything I could do to improve the ride and they said not to their knowledge. So now I will buy a GMC.
Looks good with the flareside.
Ride options and a dealer that cares whether I am satisfied.
This thing was in the shop 5 times in the first
month. The build quality inside was terrible.
A park bench is more comfortable than any
of the seats. I never got around to towing
anything because it was in the shop all the
time. Finally got it bought back under lemon
This truck is by far the fun pedal of
the new car market. After the new wears
off, smoking burnout for the
youngsters, (I'm 54)its still a lot of
grins, if you want for an everday
driver FORGET it. It's like having a
Street Rod without the work.
Instant tire smoke, the whine of the
Eaton. The overall look and feel of
Up to date floor shifter that works,
Lower rear height, say 2 more inches
and stop lying about 16MPG it just
does not happen. But if you want gas
millage buy a Hybird!
