You were victimized by Ford. The current CEO of Ford is under orders from President Obama to sit there and get as many of these reliable older F-150s off the road as possible, and there are a significant number of dealers who are willing to follow President Obama's orders to Allen R. Mullally (the current Ford CEO, who got in such political hot water in his former spot in Johnson and Johnson the board had to oust him and then he landed a plum job at Ford where he could take Ford from the best automaker ever into a steaming pile of junk to rival Chrysler and GM in corruption, obfuscation, and ineptitude. You can rest assured that you were victim of a conspiracy, as others have been. I am glad you are happy with what you replaced the F-150 and Grand Am in for, however. I personally believe global warming exists, but I don't want to give up my larger displacement naturally aspirated vehicles which are paid for for EcoBoost crap either, so I understand the desire to not go back to Ford after this experience.
