2007 Ford Explorer ACC blows cold & hot

Have a 2007 Ford Explorer. Automatic AC blows cold trough upper vents and to the right footwell and it goes warm from left footwell. So the warmer my feet the colder air blows in my face. A local Ford dealer says: "That's the way it works". But it never worked this way till July, 17, 2009. Does anyone now what the problem is? Need help. Please. Read More...

I'm in the market for a '2007 Ford Explorer (4WD) Eddie Bauer V8, automatic and have noticed that the bulk of the Dealer Inventory has centered on V6 product. Does anyone have a statistical breakdown of how many Explorer V8's were produced as opposed to V6's during '2007,..as it seems almost 3:1 ratio of V6 availability in the marketplace vrs. I have been experiencing this since Fall of 2007. Just got it back from the dealer after they had it 2 days and found nothing. It stalled. I have kept a log of mileage, date, speed, weather conditions. The only common thread is that it always happens at 30 to 35 mph and while not accelerating. And it starts right up after stalling. I have a 99 explorer that had the broken blend door problem. No help from Ford on the issue! I found a kit on ebay called Heatertreater. It was easy to install, and saved me a ton! This guy is a genius. :) Read More...

I don't have the same problem but I can verify that the Ford mechanics at the dealer ship are stupid. I had a whistling sound in my 2003 Explorer in cold weather when I accelerated. It was under warranty so I took it in about five different times and they couldn't "duplicate" the sound. I told them it happened every morning when I pulled out of my driveway so come over ... I have 2004 Ford Explorer XLT. Toward the end of year 2007 my gear shift level just broke off, but I am driving around the car without any problems. It might be inconvenient for some, but basically what you have to do is have a mechanic pull off the covering on the steering column, and remove the broken gear shift level. Bought the car and loved it, drove for a few days with no problems except for the beer smell. One cold cold morning must have been 19 degrees out I noticed the ride to work was a little chilly..30 miles. I took it for not letting it warm up enough and went about my way..
