Bought the car with 141,000 miles on it. now has 161,000 miles.
have had no problems at all.
does very well in the snow.
I would suggest this car for anyone that lives in an area that gets a lot of snow.

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with a 5.0L engine and it has NEVER let me down in anyway! It had almost 200,xxx miles and its still runs and drives FLAWLESS. I wrecked it a month ago and it still runs flawless! It's unstoppable! It's an amazing suv.
For the 2000 Ford Explorer, a color-keyed, two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel (with auxiliary audio, climate and speed control) is now standard on Eddie Bauer models. XLT Sport/Eddie Bauer/Limited models with 5.0-liter V8s receive a trailer-towing package as standard equipment. The XL is available only for fleet sales, and the XLS replaces the XL Appearance as the base retail model.
I am experiencing some braking issues with my new Explorer (2000 miles). Its happen three times... When at a complete stop at traffic light or in traffic the truck will lurch forward or shutter forwar...
