Overall we are happy with the 99 Explorer Sport. The vehicle is reliable,
comfortable, convenient, and cost effective. We have put 25K miles on this
vehicle (starting at 30K) and have only had to replace the oil pressure
sending unit @ $30.
I like all the little convenience touches. (auto door lock at the hatch,
automatic lights, autodimming mirror, AWD, etc.) Many of these features
are not available on competators models. I also like how well the vehicle
handles muddy/snowy trails at the camp.
Gas mileage (I'd like to see this vehicle in a hybrid!). Road manners while
cornering... every once in a while the vehicle rocks unexpectedly around
corners and not necessarily at excessive speeds. I don't know why, but it is
