SInce new we have experienced slipping problems with our transmission. From a dead stop, the vehicle will jerk couple times before going. When trying to accelerate, the accelerator can be depressed all the way down and the vehicle won't go any faster. i don't have an answer for your specific question but for the amount of miles you have on it take it to the DEALER. not anybody else. even if they say they are some kind of authorized garage, blah blah. when it comes down to getting things done and reimbursement the dealer is the only one to go to. even for your costly oil changes. when the auto is completely out of warranty ... Hello- My 08 Expedition has 11000 miles on it. I have never towed anything or gone offroading etc. I am a mom and we live in the country and need a good 4x4 to deal with Wisconsin winters etc. I took my expedition in for a rountine oil change and they told me both rear axle seals were leaking and needed to be replaced. For anyone having problems with hesitation, or ruff idling with the 5.4, associated with a check engine light. I have a fleet of 36 ford 250s with 5.4 engine years 2000 to 2008, and have experienced the same problems with hesitation, and wanting to die at stops, and always ends up being a bad coil. I just purchased a 2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer rental return from a Ford dealer with 12K on it.
