  I have a 2007 ford expedition eddie bauer EL and the roof is rusted in 4 spots in the grooves, and i noticed this after a car wash and the water was dripping inside the cab, took it to a ford dealer here in league city and was told it was out of warrienty and was prob. caused by rock chips and leaving car out in the rain???????

  yuu have to know a ford employee who can give you a special price. it is usually is just below invoice.   My 2007 Expedition will sometimes chug or hesitate while driving. It doesn't do this all of the time. I have taken it in the the Ford repair shop 3 times and even while hooking up their computer they still can't find anything wrong with it. It's odd becasue it will only do it after driving for an hour or so. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

  I have a 2007 Ford Expedition and have noticed that on long trips (especially on hot days) that the AC blowing "strength" decreases from the vents over time when it is on MAX AC, it still blows cool air, just the airflow decreases. If i turn off the car, and back on it comes back on to full strength for a while, but then gets weaker over time. Any ideas?

  Have an appt with the dealer to address peeling paint or plastic coated metal panel on the two panels flanking the back lift gate glass on 2007 Nav-L. It is peeling from the top down, no apparent rust.

  Figure out how to make it 'scrape' consistently. Then take the service rep on a test drive. It's not normal. There is a TSB for a sqawk noise on hard accleration at around 30mph, but it sounds like a belt slipping, not scrapping. Could be related though. Here is the info for that.   I test drove a 2007 expedition limited. Overall it was nice but has anyone noticed how cheap the plastic handle is on the transmission shifter. Not just that it is bad fake wood but that the 2 pieces actually move relative to the center part of the handle.   I am looking at used 2007 Expeditions. I need the HD Trailer tow package. There are many for sale that do not have the HD Tow package. I know factory installed is preferable but can a dealer technically add the HD tow package and all its components with after market parts (Ford or otherwise)? Would that be an acceptable option? I was quoted 2500.00 down, $635 monthly, 15K miles, 39 months from one Ford dealer, for the same exact vehicle another ford dealer offered 4700 down, $697 monthly same mileage and term.   I've tested both vehicles to a large extent and am pleased with this report to help make the final purchase decision this Spring. My concerns are mpg and long term ride qualities, the latter of which suffer tremendously in American cars, at least the ones I've tried in used car lots.   I agree. This is why I was impressed with the posted observations of the Expedition's towing performance. I still don't understand all the owners' complaints that the engine feels weak, at least not based on the comparison test results here.   Hi Macdad. Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no. Ford Credit is no longer leasing 2006 models. You might still be able to lease a 2006 Expedition through an independent bank, but if you really want to lease you probably would be better off just leasing a 2007 model.   Hi car_help_pls. Yes, the lease rates of vehicles that are leased through Ford Credit often vary by region. I have not seen its specific lease program for Arizona, but I suspect that it is similar to, if not exactly the same as the program that I described in my previous post. Ford Credit's current base lease rate and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 Expedition Limited 2WD with 10,500 miles (this is the lowest allowance that Ford Credit publishes residual values for) per year in your area should be 1.0% and 59%, respectively.   What happened to the rumored V-6 turbo-diesel? It boggles the mind that GM and Fordcan offer vehicles with the sort of mileage ratings that these things have. Why no diesel offerings? Mercedes, Toyota, and other major manufacturers are all planning diesel offerings in the US in the very near future. If Ford and GM don't act quickly, they will lose an opportunity and more importantly, market share.

  What, Ford doesn't DRUG TEST their truck designers anymore? The 2007 Expedition makes the previous model AND the NEW GM SUV's look like beauty contestants by comparison! If Ford's recovery is riding on vehicles like the 2007 Expedition to save it, I hope the Ford Motor Company ship brought plenty of lifeboats, because there's a HUGE iceberg named Toyota is coming right at it. Hope you Ford fans can swim.

  This is one of several reasons why Ford (and GM) are near bankruptcy. Toyota and Honda have waiting lists months long for their Hybrid offerings, and Ford is making huge SUVs when gas is at $2.50/gallon. I don't feel sorry for them.....

  http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/01/27/2007-ford-expedition-revealed/ It looks great! The headlights are pretty sharp and resemble the Ford Edge a bit. However, I'm not sure only 300hp is good enough. 350 sounds more like it. The new Suburban and Yukon are going to be tough to beat for Ford.
