My problem with BOF SUVs out of Ford these days is excessive weights that have crept into Explorer and Expedition models. When you reach say about 5,000-5,200 lbs curb weight in a BOF 4wd SUV, moving the thing around becomes a chore. 5,800 to 6,100 lb curb weights for 2007 Expedition and EL in 4wd are major turn-offs for me even though I have been a full-sized SUV driver for 27 ... First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing this truck's selling price in relation to its MSRP you don't know how much of a discount ... Read More

Hi macltdk. Dealer invoice minus the $1,000 lease cash that is available in your area is a great price for lease of a 2007 Ford Expedition right now. I believe that Ford Credit's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Ford Expedition Limited 4WD with 15,000 miles per year are currently 2.5% and 47%, respectively in your area. Using these numbers, an MSRP ... Read More

I agree. This is why I was impressed with the posted observations of the Expedition's towing performance. I still don't understand all the owners' complaints that the engine feels weak, at least not based on the comparison test results here. Maybe Ford has improved something dramatically in the new drivetrain over the older ones though. BTW, the unloaded overall economy results still favor the Tahoe by a decent margin (15+ vs. ... What happened to the rumored V-6 turbo-diesel? It boggles the mind that GM and Fordcan offer vehicles with the sort of mileage ratings that these things have. Why no diesel offerings? Mercedes, Toyota, and other major manufacturers are all planning diesel offerings in the US in the very near future. If Ford and GM don't act quickly, they will lose an opportunity and more importantly, market share.
