2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Rwd 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

This is by far one of the best vehicles
I've ever owned. It has excellent
handling for a large SUV and great
responsiveness. Most of the features
are self explanatory and in the
appropriate spots for easy access.
There is lots of room for storage in
the glove box & the center console. We
recently took a trip and after 11 hrs
on the road, we were still up for going
to the park. No more road fatigue from
long trips. My family will have to
yell at me from now on as the sound
system is awesome!

Best Features

heated/cooled seats, navigation system, back-up warning system, power 3rd row seat, Sound system, safety curtains, in- visor garage/gate controls, sunroof, volume lowering system on radio when slowing down...the list goes on & on--- I like all the features.

Worst Features

Rear seat in-floor storage compartment. Ability to change CD songs from the steering wheel. More color choices for int/ext. Rear in-floor storage area.

2004 Ford Expedition XLT Sport 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

The first week was great. After that
things deteriorated. In the second week
and only a few hundred miles, the AC
would grind when put on and vehicle
would dive and lose power. The tailgate
started chattering while driving. The
auto locking doors stopped working when
placed in drive. The belts starting
squealing. I have had two belts
replaced along with the pulleyes and
tensioners. Also there was a loose bolt
in the rear passenger door, and a 3
inch seat securing bolt loose rolling
arounfd the interior! All of this in
three months of ownership, bought new.
Only 3500 miles and the problems still
mount. Never will own again!

Best Features

Ride and handling

Worst Features

Quality and reliabilty, more POWER. Better yet just start over from scratch!

2004 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

Just like all expeditions, the brakes
last no more than 23,000. Ford denies
it, but they used the explorer brakes
on the expedition, and they are to
small for this larger vehicle. We had
to replace the starter, after being
stranded several times, when it would
not start when warm. Face it, Toyota
you will never be!

I first purchsed a 2002 Ford Explorer
XLT and was so impressed that I decided
to upgrade to the Expedition. It is
larger overall than the Explorer and
sits higher off the road. I can't get
over the field of view you get with the
Expedition. These 2 Fords are the
first American manufactured automobiles
I have owned since my 1967 Pontiac
Firebird and it is a wonderful
experience.

Best Features

the Electro...rearview mirror is great the electric powered 3rd row seats fog/driving lights

Worst Features

a wider running board would be nice

2004 Ford Expedition XLT Rwd 4dr SUV (5.4L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I have two children and already own a
F250 that has been great but needed an
SUV. The Epedition was the last one me
and my wife looked at and its the one
we bought we love it. The ride it
great and power is very smooth and
quite. There is more than ample room.
We have several motorcyles and a
waverunner and there has been plenty of
power to pull both even up hills. This
is this best SUV in its class. Buy the
5.4L V8 its the only way to go with an
SUV of this size.

Best Features

The Electric operated fold down third row seats. Engine and Powertrain. The interior styling. The front Capt chairs.

Worst Features

None. Its perfect the way that it is.
