Our expedition was an ok SUV. Breaks
were exspensive to replace and the
engine light loved to come on and cost
us money to get the SUV annalyzed only
to find out they had no idea what was
wrong. The car would run ruff and
sputter after the rain and than dry
out and the light would go off. We had
it checked again before our family
vacation and were told there was
nothing wrong. Well the spark plug
blew out on the Penn turnpike in route
to our vacation destination. We found
out it would be at least 3330.00 to
fix it but it would take well over a
week. We over payed for an Explorer
and picked up the Expedition on the
way back. Build a better product.
Room for the family and that was what
Mr Ford build products that your
company can stand behind not products
you can not. Need I say Pinto and rear
end collisions or xplorer roll over.
Dii you know Mr. ford i did not know
that U-haul refuses to rent their
trailers to Ford Exploere owners. I
did not know they were this bad.
We purchased this vehicle used and
purchased the extended warrenty which
paid for itself in no time. We've had
to replace the brake pads twice because
of leaking rear seals, the rear axle,
and the transfer case motor. The heated
driver's seat broke. Now the alternator
needs replaced and now the engine makes
a funny clicking noise until it warms
up. I think of my 16 year old Honda as
more dependable and it has certainly
cost us less in repairs over the last
two years.They thought perhaps a $700
tune up would fix its problems. That
was just two months ago. I've had it,
we're car shopping!
mushy ride, lousy brakes, no cargo space,
sways from side to side like a carnival
ride, floats and bounces down the road.
Expensive, quick to loose value,
scratches too easy, body like a tin can,
oversteers, feels like it leans too much
Fast, 17MPG on highway at reasonable speed
Wish I did not buy it
brake pedals go in and out to accomidate
The truck is great. Great power in the
5.4 motor. leather seats are the
best.Got to have it on chrome rims.
Ford rules. Gets all the girls. A real
mans Suv. Lets be real, why pay 55,000
or more for the more expensive trucks
when we know all automobiles breakdown
and have problems.
5.4 motor, size, third row seat,
leather, front and rear a.c., lighted
running boards, engine growl with flow
master dual exhaust, GREAT RIDE ON
BUMBY ROADS OR STREETS.
Locking gas cap, 100 horse power , THE
POOR RESALE VALUE. THE POOR RESALE
I think that the 5.4 XLT is great
value. So far so good with reliability.
(knock on wood).I got all the E.B.
features on mine with the running
boards,fog lights leather, third row
ect. Gas isn't the best but it is a big
suv and gas prices are high.I heard if
u remove third row seat you could save
a mile per gallon. So far i am happy
with my expo.It runs very strong.
5.4 liter engine runs very strong and
fast compared to 4.6 liter
engine.leather seats.great prices for
used ford suv's compared to other
trucks.Size and value.
Breaks and roters are alot at
dealership. Add 50 more horsepower to
