I have had nothing but problems with
this car. To begin with, I had to take
it to the dealer to replace the AC
control valve and the starter. A couple
of months later, I had to take it back
to have the fuel pump replaced. I will
never own another Ford Escort ZX2.

Got the car in March. It's a gem and I
would like to say that it is a Ford ZX2
not an escort. Runs awesome and the 0-
60 times kill Civics,Cavo's,and even
those damn eclipses

I had an '88 Nissan Sentra which was on
its last legs when I bought this car.
It has "bare bones" extras: A/C and
Automatic. Despite this, I enjoy
driving it - this car makes my daily
commute comfortable as well as exciting!

Great little car. Ergonomically
comfortable interior, pleasing exterior
design. Silver with gray interior is
classy looking! Sporty handling and
peppy 2.0 litre engine. Handles
exceptionally well on highway, in city,
and along winding roads. Fuel economy
is exceptional. Some road noise that
upholstered floor mats help with. I
consider this car to be an American
icon along with the smaller German VW
Beetle!

By far the best car for under $15,000.
Better performance than the Civics that
were priced several thousand dollars
higher. My only complaint is the
relatively small amount of storage
space in the glove box, etc.

I bought this car because my old 94 Escort was a great car. It has 134,000 on it and still runs like a champ. So I got this new Escort (excuse me *ZX2*) and I like it even more. It handles better and is a wee-bit quicker. I have the manual. I wish the engine was a bit smoother. It vibrates a bit, but what do you want for a car in the this price range. If it lasts anywhere near as long as my old Escort, I can tolerate the vibrations of the engine....no problem.
