Review
My hubby & I bought our '98 light green Escort LX in 2000 and we've put a lot of miles on it. In 3 years alone, we've doubled the miles. It has been a great, reliable car for us and our growing family. I tend to have a lead foot, so I wish it had more balls, but it's probably better that it didn't. It's a great car, anyway, and we're very sure it'll be our family vehicle for a long time.
Favorite Features
I like the smooth ride, the controls are very easy to use, and the space is adequate for the moment.
Suggested Improvements
More horsepower. I would like power windows and locks in my car.

Review
I've had my Escort for about 2 years now and I have to say it has been a solid experience. The escort gets excellent gas mileage, and has a reasonable ride for a 'no frills' type of car. I've only had one problem and that was a radiator hose break.
Favorite Features
great for a commuter/student. Gas Mileage, Fun to drive the 5 speed manual.
Suggested Improvements
No indoor trunk release. The car has somewhat of a cramped front seat. I'm 5'10" I have the seat all the way back to drive, not to mention the center console that seems restrictive. for a big guy it's uncorfortable on a long trip.

Review
I've had my ZX2 since buying it new in 98--its been great! I've put over 100000 miles on it with few problems-- had to replace the alternator. The 5spd is zippy and tight. Nothing better than knowing its gonna start up every time I need it to. I'm sooo pleased to have gotten so much out of this little car and hope I'm driving it for a few more years b/c I'll hate to give it up!

Good acceleration, good price, really realible, fun to drive.
Suggested Improvements
Cut down on cab noise, add automatic door lock for passenger door, air filter is HARD to change!

Review
I was involved in a 60 mph crash and the design of this vehicle saved my life! While the car was totalled in the accident, I walked away with only some serious bruises.

Review
My experience has been great with my ZX2. It is fun car to drive and gets great mileage. I have put very little money into the car except for regular oil changes and a K&N Air Filter. My only complaint is the spongy feeling brake pedal. Besides this the car is awesome. I would recomend this car to anyone, but especially to any college student who needs reliable transportation like me.

This car is fun to frive but still gets great mileage. I think most are surprised at the performance you can get out of this little car.
Suggested Improvements
The break pedal feels spongy. I have read that you can change this by adjusting a bolt, but I have not attempted it yet.

Review
I love my car!!! I bought one as my first car last year, and it's great. It's great to find the S curves on back roads and fly by my friend with a civic. The only reason I only put a 9 for performance is because it doesnt really compare to my dad's nissan 300ZX, but it's still a peppy little sports car and I love it.

It's a standard, and that's what i wanted, it also has a pretty zippy engine in it and i can even contend with my friends that have v-6's
Suggested Improvements
MORE POWER!!! It's great for a little 4- cylinder, but it's not an S/R and it'd be great if i could have the horsepower and agility of one of those

Review
I bought my Escort because it is what I could afford at that time. It had only 20K and looks almost new. I have been driving this car on daily basis for 2 years and put 30k on it. Escort is a plain, compact, low-priced seden. There is really not much fun to drive it. The engine, transmission and brake system works fine for commuting daily, but performance is mediocre. Overall it is a reliabe car and gives me great gas mileage (~28 city and ~36 highway). I have never had any problem with its mechanical quality, even after one collision and one weather disaster. I changes the oil regularly at local Ford dealership. A great car for daily life!
