Ford Escort Engine Issues

OK my buddy has a 1990 ford escort pony.he was driving and something happened and it just died.now if im not mistaking i had a 93 escort that had a fuel relay shutoff switch in the driver side rear corner panel.would a 90 have the same thing in the same place or would the switch be somewhere..or not have one at all.the car will turn over but wont start.and the fuel cutoff ...
