2014 Ford Escape Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A)
Bought the 2.0L Titanium with AWD in November. Really like the car -- the technology system was pretty easy to master. Really like the handsfree phone. But am sorely disappointed with the mileage -- 14 MPG with mixed city and highway driving. Dealer said wait till we hit 5000 miles but at 4500 miles have seen no improvement. Will not keep the car long at this rate. Am already looking to get rid of it.
Handsfree phone -- synced easily. Heated seats are nice for the cold winters. AWD gave me added peace of mind over the winter. The back seats recline slightly too -- nice addition. Back-up camera is very nice safety feature as well as the rear parking assist.
Need to improve the actual gas mileage over the advertised gas mileage! Seriously -- 14 mpg?? The advertised mileage was the reason I went with the Escape over a Toyota Highlander. Back seat could use a wee bit more leg room.
I drove to LA 134 miles (mileage on the escape 1000 miles)
MPG 31 and 30 miles of it was stop and go
speed 60-70 and stop and go was o to 50.
drove back at 60mph and got 39mpg. 60 was a little of a hassle being the slow poke in the right lane,When traffic got too busy i sped up,but generally stayed 60 to 65.
toown is 24 to 26
palmSprings to Joshua tree 500 ft elevation to 3500 ft elevation and 50 miles.55 mph get 22-25. The return was 40 cause its mostly down hill
