Nothing But problems with this car.
it has just over 51,000 km on it and has been through 4 fuel pumps, 2 water pumps, a transmission rebuild and all engine gaskets have been replaced.
It recently bogged down on the highway with foot to the floor and only being able to maintain 70 km/hr.
Luckily got it home and parked it before it shut off on its own.
When brought to the dealership they could not find any problems and couldn't do anything to help solve the problem.
It was purchased new off the lot and have had nothing but problems since.
Over 3 years of owning there has been around $20,000.00 of warranty work done.
Would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Ok, this review bothered me so much I created an account here at Edmunds just to comment on it.
First off, thumper055... I'm sorry you are having problems with your vehicle.
I really am. I feel for you and wish you the best of luck in the future with whatever your decision(s) take you regarding your car.
But here's my problem.
Over 3 years owning a vehicle that's last years model?
Even taking into consideration that you bought it 2 years ago in 2012 when it first came out, your review of the 2013 Ford Escape SE model stating some of the problems you've had irks me something awful.
I realize there are lemon vehicles out there that even the best owners who know how to maintain and care for their vehicle can have back-to-back problems with.
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are close to being one of these types of people, but the inconsistencies of your claims in the above review leave me questioning the validity of your post.
Sorry but I'm downvoting it for several reasons which you can figure out for yourself.
