2013 Ford Escape Titanium 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)
I've had this vehicle for 3 mo and 3k miles.
quick engine, comfortable interior, reasonable gas mileage, loaded with features.
Dislikes: 6 service visits in 3 months; Sync is buggy; some of the electronics features still don't work right.
The electronics are great when working.
I have 8 GB of music on a mini zip drive, and Sync recognizes the names of all the music.
The voice recognition is really superb.
Unfortunately, sync has bugs.
Read the various forums and you can see a list of issues ranging from the clock to lock-ups.
I've had two software updates, but the dash display still doesn't update with the Nav display like it should.
Much fun when everything works
Turbo is quick when you need it, although it kills the gas mileage.
I can get 30 on the highway even with AWD, but only around 20 in the city.
Back seats recline, making them more comfortable than many competitors
Interior is well done, with comfortable seats.
Voice recognition works really well.
Sync is like an old Windows 3.1 computer.
It has bugs.
For some reason though, instead of giving owners a way to reboot it, Ford designed it so it automatically reboots after every 24 hours of use.
So if it locks up (which I've had numerous times), you have to drive around with no radio, no nav, no rear camera, no paired phone, etc. -- until you decide to pull the fuse or it decides to reboot.
I understand that Sync is improved from earlier versions, but I still don't think it is fully ready for prime time.
Maybe it will be after a few more version updates
