2002 Ford Escape XLT Choice 4WD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)
Nice styling; handles well in bad weather; A LOT of wind and road noise; front brakes are terrible, rotors are throw-aways; CD4E transmission has its share of troubles; one recall so far, plus a sensor under the hood went bad.
Styling, all weather handling, lot's of room for two adults and a BIG dog.
Try some of that "quiet steel" from the F-150; FIX THE TRANSMISSION!; better (longer lasting, less dust) front brakes.
