I purchased a 2008 Edge SEL AWD in very good condition at Riverside Ford on Aug 15th in Sumner, WA. So far, I'm very happy with it. The price listed on the car was $23,995., however, they had it posted on the internet for $19,995. which is what I paid. The dealership was fair on my trade in, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The new Explorer debuts next year - built off of the D3 platform (Taurus, Flex). It is expected to have a 2.0L Ecoboost 4 cylinder engine. I would expect the Edge to get the same engine when it's redesigned - probably in 2 years. We live in Atlanta where temps approach 100 with high humidity and we've never had a problem with cooling in the Edge. We've never had to turn it down below 72. Braking on the 2007 models was a little long but that improved with the 08 models and Michelin tires. There is no brake problem on the 08 and later models.

You have to have AWD if you live in Utah!!! The numbers that are relevant are as follows: MSRP: The factory sticker price on the window sticker and includes destination fee. Capital cost: The "selling price" of the car. This should be no more than the invoice price for the car including destination fee. I just got my wife's 2008 Edge for that number.
