Goodbye Honda!
Vehicle
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
Traded a Honda Accord which had problem after problem for the Crown Victoria after having rented one on a business trip. I will say I did hear a few comments from the family after doing so. But I now have a reliable and very safe car. Truly the most overlooked vehicle on the road.
Favorite Features
The very comfortable ride. Never knew a car could have so much room inside. Reliable, haven't had any mechanical issues at all.
Suggested Improvements
I have to stretch to change a CD in the radio/tape/CD player.

Consider the CV
Vehicle
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
I was trying to find a clean used Marauder, but no luck, so I found the CV LX Sport. It is a great vehicle. Solid, quiet, large cabin, great controls with the Sport package. Nice ride quality and decent mileage for a V8. Huge trunk. Absolutely no problems to date. The 4.6 SOHC is OK, but Ford should consider putting an optional 5.4 SOHC performance motor in it, but I think that they are phasing out the "Panther Platform" pretty soon. A great value in a full sized car.
Favorite Features
Sport package with bucket seats and center console. Rear sway bar and dual exhaust. Keyless code entry on drivers door. Leather seats and trim. ABS braking and alloy wheels.
Suggested Improvements
Optional higher output motor.

An excellent car for the money! Fun to drive for a large car, good on gas (average 22mpg on the highway- and I don't drive slow). Very safe feel to it in all weather conditions. Lots of guts, it's no slug! Only complaint is the headlights are not as bright as other cars I've owned, but a good set of aftermarket fog lamps and problem solved.
Favorite Features
Stereo, HVAC, Cruise Control on steering wheel.
Suggested Improvements
Just a few more adjustments in the power seats along with memory positions for other drivers.
Best Car Ever!

I bought my LX in May '04 used with 19,000 miles on it for $13,500. It had EVERY option except a moon roof and leather (not a big fan of leather). I took a round trip of the U.S. in it going from Fl. to L.A. to WI. and back home to Fl. 9,000 miles total in 2 weeks only. Car ran perfect, was super comfy, and other cars got out of my way on the interstate. Get Mich Hydro Edege tires, they make this vehile perform flawlessly in any weather condition. Vehile was just totaled out due to a driver of an F-150 running a light. Other than air bag deployment, there was no interior damage. The crush zones work really well. I will most likely be geting another, I miss mine really bad.
Favorite Features
Everything!
Suggested Improvements
Fog lights like the Maurader, more space on the hump between passenger and driver (dash takes up to much space). Also DOHC engine, a memory button for more than 1 driver. And the biggest need to fix, the headlights. The headlight output is so bad I had to drive with brights on all the time.

Best Car I ever owned
Vehicle
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
I have owned many cars, including Cadillacs and Lincolns, but this Crown Vic is by far the best overall of any car I ever owned. I started driving in the early 60's when cars were cars. My Crown Vic is as close to the cars of those days as you can get. Very comfortable, great ride and what a trunk! My mileage is better than the 97 T-Bird it replaced. If Ford ever stops making the Crown Vic I will have to buy my cars on some other planet.
Favorite Features
The way other cars on the road react. The never know if you are an unmarked police cars. This really makes driving fun. After that my favorite feature is the trunk.
Suggested Improvements
It ain't broke, don't fix it!

After being in an accident in a 01 Accord that left me with injuries I happened to ask the adjuster his opinion of the safest car to be in ... and he didn't hesitate a second. "Crown Victoria", he said with a smile. Guess what I'm driving now? Yep, you guessed it. And I'll tell you the truth, I'm loving every second of it.
Favorite Features
Gotta love the room. At 6ft tall this is the only car I have ever driven that is truly comfortable. Who cares if my friends initially called me grandpa.
Suggested Improvements
Gas mileage is the only drawback. Could be improved with new powerplant. Everyone else is doing it.

Panthers rule!
Vehicle
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
The current-generation Crown Victoria is perhaps a bit dated-looking, but it's still sharp and still looks way better than "cutting edge" designs like the Chrysler 300. Trunk room and ride comfort are everything you'd expect from a traditional big car (again, better in every way than the 300), and it couples that with reasonably good fuel economy and performance. The 4.6 pulls a lot harder than I thought it would, and even with a full load of people and cargo, it's never short of passing power (something the old 5.0L cannot claim!).
Favorite Features
- Rear-end styling - Dark upholstery AND headliner (none of this dark grey seating/light grey headliner nonsense) - Durability: built like a tank! Don't be fooled: those flexy bumpers are actually backed up by I-beams! - Seat fabric: it's so super soft and fuzzy :D
Suggested Improvements
- The clearcoat on my aluminum rims is starting to peel already, so that could use some work - Low washer fluid indicator with non-digital dash would be nice - Needs more places to put stuff; that aspect of the design is really showing its age

The only one for me
Vehicle
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4dr Sedan (4.6L 8cyl 4A)
Review
I find the looks of the LX Sport to be perfect. Not too much chrome, and perfect trim with the icing being the wheels. Strong look. Strong ride with amazing comfort. I don't always like where I'm going, but I love driving this car there. I don't want any other car.
Favorite Features
The smooth, silent, powerful ride. The unique look of the car. It is a true United States type of car. What other car has the look like the Crown Vic?
Suggested Improvements
The side mirrors are not as good as they could be, or should be. The image presented just isn't right. The rear window defroster is too slow. To ask for better fuel efficiency is not a logical request for this big car.
