I'm 31 Very happy with my CV. Bought it a year ago with less than 80K, I now have over 110K. Set of bakes all around and minor issues. Around 30 mpg at 75-80 mph. Drove from Chicago to Ct back to Chicago then down to Houston and off to San Fransisco and back to Houston. Awesome gas milage, great storage,
super reliable, and comfortable for excessive highway driving.
I've owned tauras, plymouth, camaro, buick, sable, Olds, riviera, lincoln, yukon, f350, olds, subaru and this. No other car would I trust to do that voyage I did.
Great value for a V8 Rear wheel drive. Gonna rock it till the wheels fall off or I hit mega millions.
storage, gas milage, and comfort for long rides.
Very smooth ride. Extremely quite car for over 100,000 miles.
Spark plugs and wires took me 45 minutes to complete, very easy to work on.
Highly recommend that if you find one with low miles buy it, it will last a long time.
Plenty of on-line forums to help you with odds and ends.
Car info states that it can tow 5,000 lbs
Car needs a Tachometer, (so do the new ones) would be nice to watch rpms while driving. EGR valve gets clogged after 90,000 miles, egr valve is extremely diffucult to replace but very hard to clean out.
Bought the car 6 yrs. ago with 52,000 mi. on it. It now has 167,000 mi. Overall it's been quite reliable. Although I have had to rebuild almost the entire front suspension/steering...shocks, all ball joints, linkages, etc. to the tune of around $1500.00 at around 125,000 mi. Not too bad I guess. Still runs and looks quite well but uses a quart of oil in less than 1000 mi. Plan on driving it till it drops at this point. No problem with the transmission so far!!
Very comfortable. Roomy interior. 30-32 mpg. on the highway. Great power. Decent reliability.
This is the first car that i have ever owned and it has been nothing but good to me it was an old detective's car out of texas and for a huge car it is excelent on gas and the normal wear and tear is cheap compared to other domestic cars i would definitely buy another one.
This is the best car ever owned.
Currently, there are 232,000 miles on
the original engine, and the car is
still running like new. It "swooshes"
down the highway, and because of the
reliability of this vehicle, the Crown
Victoria of all other cars, it is the
most cost conscious car of all. The
yearly repairs amount to maybe $500,
and that is only because of the wear
and tear factor of driving 25,000
miles/year; oil changes, brakes, tire
rotations, minor repairs. This is the
best car ever. Buy one today!!!
