2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid SEL 4dr Wagon (2.0L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Took delivery of a 2013 SEL 303A a week ago.
Was driving a mid-sized SUV, but mostly use the vehicle for commuting.
I wanted the following:
Comfort, fun to drive, better mileage, flexibility to handle a large parcel/item via a hatch, reasonably quiet driving experience, all the toys like Nav, backup camera, leather, etc.
The C-Max delivers all these items.
There is more head and leg room than in the SUV ( I am 6'6" and 240lb, don't fit well in many vehicles).
So far only one build issue, which the dealer addressed.
Last, the mileage: EPA tests were followed to the letter, but it is not real world.
I am getting 37.0 mpg on the first tank.
Cold weather does affect
All the toys included, comfortable and quiet ride, mileage improvement over what I was driving, Sony audio system, park assist and front/rear proximity sensors
Nothing yet, will update once more time and miles have passed
On the Focus it was a dealer installed option as well but only $350:
In short, they install a version of the key in the remote start box in the dash.
An antenna is installed virtually out of sight behind the mirror.
My terrible dealership bungled the install a bit screwing up the sheering wheel trim and leaving stains ont he ceiling.
This lack of workmanship is not common so I would expect that for most dealerships it is a pretty straight forwrd install.
Did you order the remote start accessory?
I ordered a C-Max Hybrid SEL 302A and was told at the dealership that the remote start compatible with the push button start is $550 installed at the dealership, and is an accessory handled by their parts department.
It shows in the online options to build, but cannot be ordered with the car.
From some reviews I have seen, I am concerned that the software works with MyKey, the box may be big and obtrusive depending on where they place it, and if they scratch my interior taking apart the entire dash to install it I just may cry.
Any info you have is appreciated.
Most of the other reviews I have seen are for SE or SEL without all the add-ons.
