Excellent Performer/ minor flaws
By Richard M. on
1997 Eagle Talon TSi Turbo 2dr Hatchback AWD
Performance is great as is aftermarket
support for this model, all weaknesses
have been found researched and most
DO NOT PUT CHEAP TIRES or SUPER SOFT
RACE RUBBER on these cars, they do eat
tires up with the AWD, heavy weight,
and power. The turbo is a little too
small for maximum performance at high
RPM,however it is more than enough for
any commute,and provides Jet Fighter
like thrust at low speeds (15 -45 mph)
in traffic for excellent passing.
about 30 mpg on highway at 80 mph
SUN/MOON roof excellent
SEATS ARE SUPER COMFORTABLE
Appearance much more agressive than the
95 96 model or The 95-99 Eclipse.
Shave the front talon emblem on the
nose & decals on side.
Wish they had not deleted the skirts.
Crankwalk was issue in early 97 but
car will either be immune or have had
the short block replaced
The turbo loses efficiency at about 4k,
should have had a T28 or EVO 3 16g
