Do not buy this car! There is a good reason this was a cheap worthless car! I had to replace both struts in the back of the car. However, you can buy struts and a strut mount kit. Which of coarse probably wasn't the problem. The plates both struts rest in, inside of the wheel well, are made of an aluminum alloy which easily and quickly oxidized and caused it to chip away ... i have a 2002 stratus SE and about a month ago something in the engine starting rattling when i accelerate up to about 45-50 mph. it ran out of oil around december but the rattling just started. does anyone know what the problem may be? took to the dodge dealership and various other shops no one seems to know what the problem is. they said it's not the lifters, not carbon ... When you say shop do you mean "a Dealer", if not have a Dodge Dealer look it over. I have a 2002 Stratus RT 4dr Sedan with 21000 and 4-5/32 Front and 6-7/32 rear padding left, and I drive it pretty hard every day to the Metro 5-6 mile stop and go. Read More...
