Hi #1254 I just got my Dodge Sprinter 2006 and I had the same problem with mine and it was just the contacts on one of the doors. So I cleaned the plates and pins, then all was well again. Help me somebody! 3 weeks ago, the remote locking mechanism for my 2006 Sprinter started misbehaving. Instead of locking the van when the lock button is pushed twice, it now locks and unlocks, then locks, unlocks and locks again. Also, the red telltale on the dash now reads open for the back door when the door is locked and reads locked when the door is unlocked. ... Read More...

I have a 2007 Winnebago View on a 2006 Sprinter 3500. I had a conversation today with RBM Mercedez Benz Service Manager in Atanta today. He said they had applied for a Sprinter franchise but it had not been awarded yet. I asked about the warranty but he did not know yet how that would work. My turbo resonator failed on July 26, 2008 (2006 Sprinter with 7300 miles) en route to ONT from NJ on a Sunday afternoon. Flemington NJ Dodge dealership was useless as was Chrysler 800#. ;) Thankfully, Kingston ONT dealership was terrific, identified the problem quickly, fit me into their schedule on Mon am and made a same-day repair under warranty. My 2006, 2500 Sprinter has been downshifting while driving down the hiway. All of a sudden it will slip out of drive to 4th or 3rd gear. I would have to maually hold the gear shift to the right for it to stay in the Drive gear. I took it to Dodge and they said my 4th gear was broken. I traded in a 2003 Ford E250 van for an 06 Sprinter back in Jan. 06. This is the best decision I have ever made for several reasons. (1) I knew that the Dodge dealers claim of 660 miles/tank is pure horse hockey, however I am currently getting 450- 500 miles/tank, with a fully stocked van for Electrical construction.
