Hi #1254 I just got my Dodge Sprinter 2006 and I had the same problem with mine and it was just the contacts on one of the doors. So I cleaned the plates and pins, then all was well again. Help me somebody! 3 weeks ago, the remote locking mechanism for my 2006 Sprinter started misbehaving. Instead of locking the van when the lock button is pushed twice, it now locks and unlocks, then locks, unlocks and locks again. My 2006, 2500 Sprinter has been downshifting while driving down the hiway. All of a sudden it will slip out of drive to 4th or 3rd gear. i have a 2006 dodge sprinter van .have had numerous major problemsand now i have a lot of black smoke coming out of the exhaust when taking off or accellerating plus diesel fumes seem to be coming up through the floorboard or somewhere causing a diesel smell in the van .any ideas on what could be wrong?

My 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500 / 2007 Winnebago View has suffered its 2nd turbo resonator failure with ~2,200 miles between the 1st and 2nd failures. I had the same problem on my 2006 Sprinter, the second day I owned it. There was a fuel leak at the front of the engine where the 8mm fuel supply/return hoses are clamped to the injection pump. DC dealers are under lawyers, realtors, and snakes
i think Dc blew it when then did their marketing reasearch for this van in zillion ways. first of all this is a work vehicle, plain and simple. for those folks that have work vehicles for their small businesses they want high quality product for cheap with reasonable maint costs and easy to get parts. not vice-versa. when my dealer wants $500 for a 10k mi service (huntington beach dodge, HB ...
