2009 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 4x4 Crew Cab
I recently test drove ...and purchased an 09 Ram Laramie 1500 4x4 crew cab. I've driven it a little over 4000 miles (all highway miles) in the 3 weeks I've owned it. My impressions thus far can be summed up by ..."WOW!" ...Disclaimer: I am an unrepentant Dodge Ram fan ...and I've previously owned a 1995 1500 4x4 standard cab SLT with the 360 V8 and a 2003 quad cab 3500 ... Dodge Ram Transmission Problems
Re: 2007 Dodge Ram diesel auto transmission [mikeyjohn]
Yep, the "alarm" was made a recall for 2003-2005 and is standard on 2006-2008 trucks. If your shifter is indeed getting stuck in R, you definitely want to get the linkage checked. I've not had that happen with my 2005 3500 in 50,000 miles. kcram - Pickups Host Read More...

However, knowing you finicky hosts, this discussion will be read only by this afternoon. Anyway, if I were to get a pickup, I would get a Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab Short ... Read More...
Cummins Diesel
I am looking at diesel trucks for use as a family vehicle and a farm vehicle. I've never owned a Dodge truck, but it seems in looking at them that the same terminology, Quad Cab, has been used for several years, although those prior to 2003 seem to have been an extended cab. Not a full "crew cab," as Ford calls theirs. I want the equivalent of Ford's crew cab--a four door ... Read More...
5.7 hemi
I've read at www.allpar.com that the 5.7 hemi's manufacturing costs are lower then the OHC 4.7's! I bet they still charge more for it! I would kill to see this motor in the current style Dakota. Now that they cancelled the redesign (of the Dakota) I think it's a possibility, but not likely. Man I'd trade my 2000 R/T in on a 2004 or 2005 5.7 Dakota in a minute, especially ... Read More...
