What's New for 2003
Dodge redid its Ram 1500 full-size truck for 2002. For 2003, the heavies -- the 2500 and 3500 -- get their day in the sun. Along with the new Ram styling, these trucks receive more powerful engines, increased towing capacities, improved handling characteristics and additional safety equipment.

Review
This is by far the best truck I have ever owned. I was never a big Dodge fan before, but I am now. This has been the most reliable truck I have owned and without a doubt it should last me at least another 100,000 miles or so. The gas mileage I think is pretty exceptional considering this is a 5.7 liter engine in a heavy duty truck. I was never one to go for the smaller gas engines especially since I didnt want to sacrifice power over a few extra miles per gallon. I have received more compliments about this truck than any of the others brands. If I were to buy another truck it will be very hard for me not to consider another Ram.
Favorite Features
The Hemi power, ground clearance,and especially the design.
Suggested Improvements
I wish it had more comfortable seats.

Review
Replaced all u joints, front hub, front drive shaft and the motor, yes the motor and this is my everyday family vehicle, pampered everyday. Terrible on fuel.

Everything other than the exterior the truck needs a serious overhaul, my truck has lived in the shop. I hate it. I sent an e-mail to Dodge about my truck with all of the repairs and the only thing they said was sorry about your look, hope you will continue to buy dodge products. WOW

Review
I traded my Toyota Tundra for the Dodge with a Cummins, because my Tundra couldnt handle my large fifth wheel travel trailer. The Cummins is awsome. It pulls my 12,000 lb. trailer like its not even there. I have to be careful or I will look down and be doing 80 mph without even knowing it. This truck will pull a house, it has terrific brakes, they stop on a dime. Fantastic heavy duty suspension. I can load this truck and it barely squats. A real mans truck. All this and I get 22 to 25 mpg highway and I still get around 15 pulling a trailer. The Cummins starts perfectly cold or hot. Great truck
Favorite Features
The commanding road view and feel. Fun to drive. The smooth and strong cummins power, and fuel economy. The heavy duty work truck capability.
Suggested Improvements
The body metal dents a little too easily. Paint needs to be more durable. Air conditioner freezes up at high speeds on really hot days. But I am told that adding an elbow to the drain condenser drain hose will fix it.

Review
I've had my ram diesel in the shop 3 times due to fuel system problems mostly the fuel pump dodge tells me it's my fault and don't want to warranty it.

Review
This is an all around good truck. The 2500 hemi has lots of power but poor gas mileage. The only poor quality is the paint, which scratches very easy.
