Bad paint, tough truck

Review

The Ram 1500 4x4 4 door is a strong truck with some problems. It has a view issue when turning to your left. The exterior paint is failing from under the clear coat to the top. Bad grip during wet conditions. It has type of skip when A/C is on and in idle. The dealership showed that all the '05s have it. The bed cover (extra) lock quit working. Engine is powerful though.

Better visuals when turning. Better suspension. Paint job!

Review

It is a really nice truck to own. It turns heads everywhere you go. If only gas was cheaper than $2.00 dollars so that one could ride it more.

Favorite Features

The power in this truck is my favorite feature. I love seeing the faces of sports cars drivers when they are getting passed by a big truck.

Review

This truck is so much fun! The engine is incredible, the shifts are fairly short considering the length of the lever. Stereo is pretty good, the sub will make the rear view mirror a little tough to see on the heavy bass - worth it to enjoy the good vibrations. So far gas mileage has been pretty good, much better than expected. Handling has also been very positive as have the very comfortable and supportive seats. Hope the quality holds up, so far so good.

Favorite Features

Engine, 6-speed transmission, stereo, trip computer, and seats.

Can't really think of anything.

Muscle Truck

Review

I bought the truck 2 months ago and cannot believe that I used to to think my Vortec 454 Chevy was powerful. This truck is awesome to say the least. The V10, 22" wheels, 500 watt stereo, stainless steel trim package are all great. Some owners complain about the mileage, I didn't buy the SRT because it was fuel efficient I bought it because it was fun. I am 40 years old and the truck is one of the fastest vehicles I have ever driven and the fastest I have ever owned. Nice job Dodge!

Favorite Features

V10, Sound system, comfort, exhaust sound, 22" wheels, hood & grill. "who am I kidding? I love all of it"

Suggested Improvements

Improve the 2nd to 3rd shifts, make a blower optional from the factory. Otherwise its great!

Ram SRT-10

Review

When I saw my Ram SRT I fell in love with the way it looked. It looks like it is flying when it is just sitting still. The front of the truck is unlike any other truck out there, being styled very aggressive looking and shouting get out of my way. The interior is actually very comfortable and stylish. The performance of the truck is the main reason I had to have it. The Viper drivetrain is the heart of the truck which makes it a beast. I have driven the truck on small trips to visit family which is 130 miles round trip. The speed limit is 55 mph the entire trip. The truck has averaged 16.5 to 17.8 mpg at a constant speed of 62 mph in 6th gear at 1400 rpm several times. Highway miles only!

Favorite Features

The best feature is the insane power from the viper v-10 motor and the 6 speed gear box. My truck was also ordered with a 4:56 diff instead of the stock 4:11 which really gives it some serious low end grunt. The suspension and brakes really make this truck handle like a serious sports car.

Suggested Improvements

The only complaint I have is the excessive brake dust on the 22" wheels even after a fresh cleaning and a short trip to the local HD. The amount of dust seems a little excessive, but the dealer told me that this is normal with a performance brake.

Hands down this truck sets the curve.. personally I would like all that power and performance in a 4x4 .This is my first truck not a 4x4. and was aprehensive, but I am happy with the performance. I know however the day will come when it is stuck on the job site and I am looking for another powered axle. but until then, giddy up!

Absolute performance and power and I get to drive it to work.

Suggested Improvements

Make the 6 speed tranny available in the quad cab? 4x4?

The Best Truck Ever

Review

This truck is fun to drive. One can feel the power as soon as you start it. Not all cars give you the same feel. My wife has the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and it doesn't come close, it just doesn't feel lke a true 500hp car. With this Dodge baby you know what you have under the hood. The driving is great, although, the turns are a bit wider than most trucks. The only compaint I get from my wife is that the seats are not very comfortable for long travel, and the gas usage, well let's put it this way, those who buy this type of trucks really shouldn't care about that, we know is high, but this truck is a luxury. Last word, this truck make you feel like you're driving a nascar.

Favorite Features

The outside styling, the stereo is great,the navigation sys, the U Connect for the mobile, but overall the outside styling. This truck catches your eye.

Suggested Improvements

Defetnitly the seats, they look great, like a racing car should look, but they're just not comfortable, and after a four hour drive your back will let you know that.

I have never enjoyed driving a vehicle like this since I was 16 and got my first vehicle. Drives like a sports car and I do not feel like I am scooting along on the ground. Anyone looking for a performance truck should take a serious look at this vehicle.

Favorite Features

The seats are comfortable like sitting in an easy chair at home.

Review

Hurricane totaled my '04 and i just had to have another. It's roomy, sporty and has unbelievable power. It may not pin you in your seat, but your neck will snap!

Favorite Features

Giving friends a ride and watching their face. Best color is red.

Suggested Improvements

Sunroof option on reg. cab. New gearing to reduce wheelspin.

You can write a review of this truck with just 3 letters, fun! Since buying the truck my C5 vette has been sitting in the garage gathering dust. This truck is just too much fun to park!

That big, bad Viper motor.

They are changing the nav system for 06, and it is badly needed. The version in the 05 is almost useless.
