The rear seating being uncomfortable is the biggest complaint we've had from everyone that has sat in the back of our truck. The front middle storage compartment/ seat can't be adjusted to move forward so the person in the back has to have short legs or bear having the seat back on his knees.
The engine is our favorite family feature. Our family loves the outdoors and having enough power with 2WD to pull yourself out of the sand is a major plus. The kids aren't as comfortable sitting in the back as they were in the Dakota but they appreciate the roomy interior.
The rear bench isn't as comfortable as the Dakota. The Dakota has a bench that slopes rearward and has a larger seat. The Ram has the rear passengers sitting "ramrod" straight. Good for posture but not too good for long drives in the country.
