I have a Dodge Ram 2500 year 2005 diesel 4 X 4 automatic transmission. My pickup stopped shifting and remained stucked in the first gear. in the beginning it would occasionaly jump to the next gear and then shift normally up to the other's. Hi Car_Man, I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad-cab 4x4 HEMI Sport SLT Big Horn Edition. It has 20-inch wheels with 305/55/r20 Nitto Terra Grapplers, Line-X, window tint, Infinity stereo, it's a nice truck. Everything I'd want, except it's not a diesel. This truck is paid for. I was the national fleet manager for a large business machine company in Rochester, New York for a number of years. Cummins diesel engine preheater wiring harness

I just purchased a new 2005 Ram 2500 4 dr. pickup with the cummins turbo diesel engine. I asked where you plug in the engine preheat and was informed that Dodge does not provide the cord or wireing harness. The preheater is installed but I must purchase a $43.00 cord to plug it in. I've read at www.allpar.com that the 5.7 hemi's manufacturing costs are lower then the OHC 4.7's! I bet they still charge more for it! I would kill to see this motor in the current style Dakota. Now that they cancelled the redesign (of the Dakota) I think it's a possibility, but not likely. Man I'd trade my 2000 R/T in on a 2004 or 2005 5.7 Dakota in a minute, especially ... Read More
