Overall a very nice truck to own. I've
owned Fords and Chevy's, this is the
nicest by far. I choose the V10, which
has great power and terrible gas
mileage (between 9 & 11 around town).
The 4 speed automatic transmission like
to hunt a little when in overdrive, but
not to bad. The quality is very good.
I would recommend this truck to anyone
who is looking for a powerful, good
looking big truck. Overall 8 of 10
8 liters of pulling power.
Better programing for the transmission
to reduce the hunting while in
I have two dodge rams 2500. one is a diesel standard and the other is gasoline automatic. The diesel with the manual has never gave me a problem but the gasoline with the automatic transmission is not so good. Ive rebuilt it twice so far. The mopar automatic is junk. Gas or diesel the tranny's are junk. Engines are good auto tranny's aren't.
Cummins Diesel and 5.9 Magnum. MANUAL Trans tough truck
Love this truck. Only complaint I have is the gas mileage. I have the V- 10 and when it is fully loaded it gets about 5.5MPG. Makes long trips rather costly. Can pass anything but a gas station. This truck is capable of pulling down a house!
First Dodge I have owned and have been truly impressed with every thing about this truck. Minor maintenance, but no big issues. Cummins diesel 5.9 L is great for hauling with plenty of power to go around. On road trips set the Cruise on 65 mph and enjoy the fuel economy! Got 25 mpg on my last road trip. Enjoy this one so much that I bought the same year make & model but a 3500 with all the same features. Love this one just as much. Can't say enough about this vehicle.
big seating area. comfortable seats. easy to reach console. rear jump seat area great for my dog to ride.
need better way to access headlights, they are hard to change.
Well...to start things off this Diesel truck has a cracked block. Its not the first. I am read up on this and its a big problem. The mileage is ok but the cost on antifreeze in the winter is the killer. The speakers blew in the front within 2 years. Good truck for the first 100, 000 miles.
Overall size. Loud motor.
No number 53 cast block. Better speaker system. Wouldn't recommend for a struggling college student.
