The Hemi is a awesome engine, Ignore Consumer Reports "over hyped" comment in their review, if the Hemi was in a Ford they would be bragging that engine up. The engine is really that good. The interior fit and finnish is top notch, light years ahead of GM anything, including their luxed out Escalade. The handling in the 1500 is really good, almost car like. I have been getting about 19 mpg highway and 14 mpg city driving with the Hemi 1500 4x4, thats driving with a light pedal. Put your foot into it and it will get around 11 mpg city
The engine is awesome, fun to drag race kids in Honda Civics at lights and win every time. It's worth the 11 mpg. Quiet composed ride, good responsive handling. Knowing you have the most powerful V8 in a 1/2 ton truck is fun, along with the get out of my way styling, it's a win win package.
PAINT, the worst part of this truck. Just look at this truck and it will scratch. Come on Dodge, get off the wallet and give us some better paint. The paint looks good, just needs to be harder, its seem really soft.
