Never had a Dodge but not impressed
with the price of a Ford. After
driving for a few days I'm blown away
by the ride, no rattles, good power,
and great 4 wheeling. The only part
not impressed with is the
transmission. A cruise through the
mountains of Colorado shows the tranny
has no idea what it's doing, always
shifting, even with overdrive off. It
offered 2500RPM and losing speed or
push on the throttle and 4500 RPM to
speed up, but nothing in between for
mountain inclines. Needs some tweaking
but works fine for South TX driving.
My favorite is the four wheel drive,
with posi in the rear it has taken me
wherever I want to go with no protest,
limited only by factory tires....which
will change at some point.
Only improvement I'd like to see is the
tranny dialed in better.
