I just read a bunch of negative reviews
of the truck I own and I have to speak
up. I have 70K miles on my 98 quad cab
and have never (knock on wood) had a
single problem with it. New front brake
pads at 45K, new tires at 55K, new
battery at 63K, rear drum shoes are
about due now. That's it. This is a
great truck. Check the TSB's since
1998: Dodge: 1, Ford F-150: 200+!!! All
this, and I regularly pull a 3000# boat
around like it's nothing! Get both
sides of the story before you buy.
Interior comfort and ergonomics are
great. Towing pkg. enhancements must
work, because the engine is in great
shape despite regular workouts.
Braking and Steering ability could be
sharpened. Rear seat room could always
be increased. Power options for
passenger seat would be appreciated.
