I'd sure buy another one!

Vehicle: 1996 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Laramie SLT 2dr Extended Cab SB

This wonderful truck, with 148,000 miles, 5.2 L, and 5-speed manual has been utterly reliable. It gets decent mileage (16-17 city; 20-21 highway) with the 3.55 differential. Acceleration is a bit slow, but I can cruise all day at 65 mph with only 2,000 RPM on the engine. Engine is so smooth, you can't even tell when its running. This is a "Mobil 1" truck: engine, transmission, and differential all have had Mobil 1 synthetic oils since after the break-in period. I expect to get easily 250,000 miles and 20 years of service.

I like it

Have never owned a Dodge pickup until I bought this one. Have only had it 5 months but use it in traveling sales job. My experience with this one, which is excellent, will probably cause me to consider a new one or upgrading a few years.

Good solid truck and awsome

Vehicle: 1996 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Laramie SLT 2dr Extended Cab SB

I have almost 140,000 miles on my dodge and have had no problems with the transmission. Did replace the water pump at about 110,000. Has lots of room and plentiful power. Ipull a 27 foot 5th wheel travel trailer with a 10 foot seadoo behind it and it still hauls it fairly well. Had some problems with one headlight having condesation in it. The columns creaate a horrible blind spot. Wish they could do something about that.

The 96 Dodge is confortable to ride in. It would have been a good truck, except in 48,000 miles I have had two transmission put in. Gas milage is poor. Power is adequate.

Good solid truck, comfortable, useful, drives well in the highway. Has been pretty dependable and has needed only minor repairs. Gas mileage could be better but it's not bad compared to most small v8s ans v6s.
