A very cheep and simple way to do it would be to find a neon in a junk yard there with the gauges you want. Pull the gauges and install them into your car. You'll probably also need to pull the pulse generator out of the junked car and put it in yours. It's not that hard to do and there should be diagrams online to show you where/how to do it. PRETTY MUCH THE SAME FOR ALL NEONS NOT JUST SRT'S, THE BEST WAY TO HELP THIS ISSUE IS LIGHTEN UP THE DRAG ON THE ENGINE SO IT HAS MORE POWER, THE MORE POWER THE LESS YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE PEDAL, I KNOW OF WHAT I DID TO MY 97 TO HELP IT OUT. 1. I have a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT that I want to make some changes to. First off, I would like to change the speedometer background disk from miles to kph (I'm in Germany with the military). I just purchased a 2004 Neon SXT. So far, I am getting 15 mpg in the city. Any ideas what could be wrong? I can't keep the car if I get this kind of mileage! I live in FL and the AC will be on for 11 out of 12 months! Read More...

We have owned three Neons a 1996, 2001 and a 2004. All have gotten more than 33 miles a gallon on a trip. The back seat was for children only as it is a tight squeeze. But the car was less than 2700lbs and the engine with a real automatic transmission worked great. We still have the 1996 and it has 195700 miles on it. I drive a 2002 SXT and you are getting better MPG than I am, I am averaging 24 MPG. I wish that I could get better MPG myself. Can anyone help us? Read More...

I have a 2004 Dodge Neon, it is well maintained and has about 37000 miles on it. I get an average of 28 mpg, and that is all highway. It doesn't matter if I'm going 70 mph, or 80, it is the same...crappy! I've taken it to the dealer, and they say that is the way the vehicle is. monkey7312: I doubt that will happen. But a funny thing happened yesterday while our daughter was on her way to Wed. night Church. She got to use the air bags on our 2004 Dodge Neon. They hit her hard in the face and chest! Now mind ya these are the "New Generation" air bag. These come out softer and easier. The ones in 1995 to 2000 have to Old design which come out at 200 ...
