i have a 2002 dodge neon with automatic tranny. The transmission went out with no warning whatsoever. When the car is running, i hear clicking or tapping noises coming from the bell housing. i was told that if i replace the tranny with a used one, it has to be a 2002 only because they are calibrated differently. I AM SORRY YOU HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR NEON, IF ANY HELP USE A SEPERATE COOLER FOR YOUR TRANS, I CHANGE TO A SEPERATE ONE AND A SEPERATE OIL COOLER AND MY 2.0 RUNS GREAT, YOUR APPLICATION ON YOU CAR IS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I HAVE OR AM DOING TO MINE, THE ONLY REAL GOOD THING OTHER THAN MY MPG IS THAT MOST PARTS ARE CHEAP, WHEN NOT GOING THROUGH DODGE OF COURSE AND ... I know this is an old thread, but I saw your post and felt compelled to reply. I don't want someone else to go through all the trouble I'm currently going through!
