Dodge Journey Transmission "Clunking"

Journey Transmission "Clunking"

I have a 2009 Dodge Journey with 3,400 miles and it has started "clunking" when putting the car into reverse and then into drive. It doesn't do it all the time. However - when it does do it - it sounds like the whole car is going to fall apart. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was normal. I told them I didn't agree. This is my first Dodge product and if that's normal ... Read More...

Know a Dodge dealer that wants to cut a deal on a 2009 Journey?

I see from these posts that some people have scored pretty big discounts off MSRP on Journeys. One post details an SXT w/ 3rd row, (MSRP $26,300) selling for $16K. Where can I get one at that price? Desire a 2009 SXT or RT with 3rd row option. With the 2010 model year coming fast, l am looking for a dealer that will offer a strong price break to move an 09 off the lot. I am ... Read More...

Re: Current Lease Rates for 2009 Journey [elrepho]

Hi elrepho. Unfortunately, Chrysler's current financial problems forced it to pull the plug on Chrysler Financial's lease program. You might be able to lease a new Dodge Journey through an independent bank, but chances are you will be better off financing or paying cash for one. Re: 2009 Dodge Journey [tshoe]

I do love my Journey but the 3rd row is kinda a joke a small child could fit but not a grown up. I do love the room in the front and in the backseat this is one reason we got it. I am 5'10 and my husband is 6'5 300 lbs so it is hard to find a vehical comforable for us both. We also have a baby on the way. Great for tall big people with room to spare. Lots and lots of storage space also! Read More...

Crossover SUV Comparison

Re: 2009 Honda Pilot Test Drive [biscuit_xls]

The VCM activates at light load, cutting out half the cylinders, so that cruising easy on the highway at 55 or 60 it may activate more, while cruising at 70-80 mph it will need all 6 cylinders. Hills and passing, the VCM will be off as well, as the load is higher and all 6 are needed. In the city, every time you idle at a stoplight or hit the brakes to stop, VCM will activate. ...
