Has anyone found a solution to why the Journey doesnt restart after its been parked? All I hear is maybe the Shifer, IOD fuse, some thing electrical.
I recently purchased a used Journey 09, in Chicago, one week later it didnt want to start. Same thing like others, key in, lights, radio good, but no turnover. Not even a choke.
Wait about 20 min then it starts. Put in Nuetral, then back to park then turn key and it starts up, sometimes.
What is the SOLUTION?
I own a 2009
Dodge Journey as well. I loved my suv up until i hit the 50,000 mile mark. That's where the stranding issues started to happen. Long story short and 3 trips to the dealership all within the same month. From the dealer insisting it was my 5month
old battery (when my power windows and radio all worked) to us having to buy a new battery just to satisfy the dealer and to
show the dealer the battery not problem. Which I told them a certified ex mechanic employee told me the problem was the WIN MOdule and FOB Key- $800-$1000 fix without extended warranty. Good thing I have extended warranty $100. Since fix- truck working great again
