2002 Dodge Intrepid Sedan SE 4dr Sedan (2.7L 6cyl 4A)

Review

I bought my 02 Intrepid last year at 27,000 miles. Now at 42,000 engine check light comes on once a while and just turns off, even computer diganosis couldnt figure out where the plm is coming from. My car has a spoiler and tinted window. It is very sporty looking same time a family car. Its like a small airplane on a highway. However, the radio should be better and u cannot even see the front part of the car when u are parking. MPG should improve thou...

Review

An outstanding ride for a relatively low price. I love sport sedans and the exterior shape of the Intrepid gave me a lot to work with. I had it outfited it with a Spoiler, air Scoops, rims, flames, sports exhaust and more. In terms of interior comfort, it rides like a cadillac, with spaciousness to spare. The cab forward design allows the intrepid to sit glued to the road at all speeds. Power to weight ratio, with anything from a 201HP - 250HP sealed engine, it really moves. The ride is super quiet & when idling you are unaware that the engine is running. No problems whatsoever with this car. Recommend it to anyone wanting a good sporty sedan.

Best Features

Comfort, Sporty & Powerful

Worst Features

More options for customization.

2002 Dodge Intrepid Sedan SE 4dr Sedan (2.7L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Was my company car, I bought personally it when it hit 60k for $6k. See below for thoughts

Best Features

Spacious interior, monster trunk. Nothing wrong with car over first 66k. Great for tall (6'2") guys. Best front wheel drive car I have ever driven in snow and ice.

Worst Features

Annoying beeping sound coming from the fan. Mileage is weak (exactly 23.7 mpg overall for first 50,000 miles) Lots of road and wind noise. You hear every expansion joint. Shifts to 2nd to make strong pass, revs to 6k rpm, needs torque. Body panel seams don't line up.

Review

This is my company car. I drive it 3000 miles per month and have not had one single mechanical issue on this car or its (2000) predecessor. I think the intrepid is a wondeful car for the right sized person. I am 6' 2" and it is tough to get in and out of, but it is ok when you settle in. The low roof line can be a pain.

Best Features

Durability and reliability. It goes through the snow like a 4WD.

Worst Features

WARN taller people about the access.
