Have a 1997 Grand Caravan that had the same issues with door buzzers, lights, etc. going on and off. I took it to a Dodge Dealer who charged me $80.00 for a diagnostic and told me the computer module probably needed to be replaced to the tune of $600.00. Tom 166. I have a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country van (similar to your Dodge van). Had software updated, low gear replaced, etc. Rides a little bit better but problem still there. I know Chrysler has had problems with the 4-speed ECT for some time, but I've actually experienced the opposite. We purchased a new 1994 Grand Caravan ES in July 1994, and currently have 160,000 miles on the vehicle. Only one DC minivan has had transmission failure of the many owned by people I know. That was a 1996 T&C LXi used to tow a large trailer all the time and the transmission failed at 180,000 miles.      Meanwhile, 3 sisters in a family I know had purchased Ford Taurus. OK. First post here. Let me lend my experience. I have had company leased Grand Caravans since 1994, traded every two years @ about 50K+. The ONLY transmission probs were the '94 with 3.0 V-6 and push-button overdrive. The problem disappeared after servicing the trans (my predecessor just changed the oil in the engine). I have to agree with dmathews3 about DC. In the past I have owned a 1991 Gr Caravan and have had a 1994 all wheel drive at work. I presently own a 1999 Grand Caravan ES and it will be the last.
